Beaches
This is Florida as it used to be ~ no high-rises ~ no human-hives ~ just the beach and those who love the beach, along with hundreds of fascinating businesses to attend to the needs and desires of the residents and visitors. The Cape Haze Peninsula is home to beautiful beaches, several hidden islands, nature parks and more. White sand, warm turquoise waters and an array of watersports is awaiting you. None of our beaches is overcrowded, not even in High Season.
The area’s most recognized beach is Englewood Beach. Featuring a boardwalk, picnic tables, playground, BBQ grills, restrooms and changing facilities plus a large parking area. There’s not much more needed to enjoy days, weeks, or even years, gazing into the ocean as the sun sets. Restaurants, tourist shops and local shopping can also be found nearby.
Stump Pass Beach, located just a couple of miles south of Englewood Beach, is part of Florida’s State Park network. Only one mile long, the beach and scenic trails leave a lasting impression.
North of Englewood Beach you find Blind Pass Beach, also known as Middle Beach, thanks to its location in the middle of Manasota Key. This beach includes nature trails with mangroves and sand dunes, shark teeth and more.
The northern-most beach is Sarasota County’s Manasota Beach, popular for its tranquil environment. It is the only public beach in Englewood with a lifeguard.
